At Galaxy Diorama, some creations go beyond collecting. They become something more personal true tributes.
Today, we are proud to present the final version of our custom 1:6 scale action figure of George Lucas: a handcrafted, limited-edition collectible inspired by a very specific moment in film history.
We’re talking about Lucas during the production of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith at Fox Studios Australia.
This project represents everything we stand for: passion for Star Wars, love for cinema, and dedication to high-end 1:6 scale craftsmanship.
It all began with a bold idea: to create a fully articulated 1:6 scale figure of George Lucas.
A tribute to the man whose vision brought a galaxy far, far away to life.
A few weeks ago, we completed the first full prototype an essential phase that allowed us to test every aspect of the figure:
And it was precisely that community feedback that made the difference.
We carefully collected every comment and suggestion.
From this exchange, several key issues emerged:
So, we went back to work.
Sara dedicated countless hours to refining the face paint, studying reference images of Lucas from the early 2000s. Hair and beard were the most challenging parts, requiring deep research and inspiration from top 1:6 artists.
To fix the outfit issue, we reduced padding in the legs while maintaining volume in the abdomen. The result is a natural, realistic silhouette true to Lucas without exaggeration.
One of the most significant improvements involves the hand system.
Traditional interchangeable hands exposed visible joints, especially with rolled-up sleeves Lucas’ iconic on-set look.
We introduced a new system: interchangeable forearms.
This solution eliminates visible joints and enhances realism, with detailed skin texture and visible veins.
To achieve true authenticity, we conducted extensive research:
We didn’t want a generic likeness.
We wanted historical accuracy.
While studying behind-the-scenes material, we noticed a recurring detail: Lucas holding a takeaway coffee cup.
After careful research, we identified the source: Gosh Cafe.
We recreated the “GOSH – Coffee” logo in 1:6 scale.
A small detail, but one that captures a real moment from the production of Revenge of the Sith.
Because for collectors, authenticity lives in the details.
One of the most challenging elements was the production badge.
The breakthrough came thanks to Propstore, which auctioned original items from Anthony Daniels in 2024.
Using high-resolution images, we recreated the badge, adapting typography for scale and laminating it for a realistic finish.
We applied the same process to storyboard pages and script excerpts, resizing and refining them for 1:6 scale display.
To complete the project, we designed a circular display base inspired by Star Wars aesthetics, featuring a nameplate engraved with “George Lucas.”
The underside includes Galaxy Diorama branding and anti-slip pads.
Thanks to the incredible support from our Instagram community (@galaxy_diorama), we produced a strictly limited run:
